Brief Description of Board Members

V.J. Supera was the founder of the TCEF vision of sponsoring Tibetan children. While living in India she began a sponsorship program for the young monks in the Clement Town Monastery. This project expanded into all Tibetan children in 1982. VJ is an international trader in antique goods from Asia and Central Asia. When not working in Asia, she resides in Helena, Montana.

India Supera has devoted her life to non-profit organizations. She is one of the founders of the Feathered Pipe Foundation which umbrella-ed the Tibetan Children's Education Foundation (TCEF). India was instrumental in moving TCEF to become its own entity. Through her extensive travel experiences, India decided that she could make a difference in the world by creating and implementing educational programs. India's work is based out of Helena, Montana.

Crystal Water, the youngest board member of TCEF, has a degree in Theology and Pre-Medicine from Carroll College in Helena, Montana. Her commitment to TCEF comes through traveling to the Clement Town Tibetan Colony and meeting many of the students, some of them age-equivalent. Moved by the plight of the Tibetan people and her own fortune to have received such a good education, she decided to make the education of Tibetan children her priority, which would allow them to live as world citizens instead of refugees. Crystal, born in Helena, Montana, aims to be a citizen of the world and is currently living in the Netherlands.

After earning his law degree from the University of Virginia in 1977, Roy Andes joined the Bolinger & Welcome law firm in Bozeman, Montana, where he litigated 54 trials in state and federal courts in 28 months. Roy's defeated litigation opponents have included Chrysler, Toyota, and the Internal Revenue Service. With his M.A. in conflict resolution in 1988, Roy became an active mediator, and has taught conflict resolution at four colleges and universities and to numerous other groups. Roy consumes his spare time with mountaineering, telemark skiing, mountain biking, films, obsessive remodeling of houses and reading and researching historical stories. The son of two foreign language professors, Roy came early to love foreigners! And after five mountain treks in Nepal, a visit to the sacred places of Tibet, and half a year in India, you could probably say he is now in love with Asia!

Allison Radecki never expected to visit Clement Town in the year 2000, but that's exactly where her path (and a bumpy, Indian taxi) led her. She is proud to be able to give her time and energy towards the education of Tibetan children and the preservation of the inspiring Tibetan culture. A writer and traveler by passion and profession, Allison's quest for new experiences, languages, and ways of seeing have taken her throughout Europe, Asia and many memorable places in between. When not residing in Montclair, New Jersey, Allison can often be found globetrotting with her spiral notebook in tow-filling it with new thoughts, quotes and recipes that capture the flavor of a place. She is a 1998 graduate of Wesleyan University.

Roberta Anderson has a master's degree in Educational Psychology and has
worked as a school psychologist in Seattle for twenty years. Now self-employed
for the past 20 years as jewelry designer/importer/wholesaler, her business takes
her to Nepal and India every year. Her India trip this year took her to Kyitsel-ling
and she was able to see first hand our program in India. Roberta has always had a
deep appreciation for the Tibetan culture and people.
