The Executive Director, Karma Tensum and members of the Board of Directors, travel nationwide with a wonderful slide/power point show to personally speak on a variety of topics. Our current topics include Tibetan culture and preservation, Sacred Arts of Tibet, Education in exile, Buddhism in culture and the Tibetan community in exile. Arrangements can be made on a variety of other Tibetan or Buddhist related topics on request.
Karma speaks eloquently from his personal experience as a Tibetan refugee who received the gift of an education sponsored through the Swiss Red Cross. Karma continued his education at an Indian University and won a Fulbright Scholarship to Harvard where he received a master’s degree with a concentration in International Education. He returned to India to continue his work with Tibetan children’s education in exile. In 2001, Karma was a member of the committee that drafted the first Tibetan National Education Policy in Exile.
Along with several other dedicated people he was instrumental in the creation of TCEF and the building of Kyitsel-ling the first educational shelter. Karma became the first Director there and has viewed first hand the tremendous impact of TCEF programs to these children.
These presentations and speaking tour events give us the precious opportunity to meet you. Hosting a presentation in your home or at various venues assists TCEF tremendously. Would you like to host an event for us? Do you know someone else who might be able to help? Please contact us for details of when our next tour might be, what our events are like and what it entails to be a host.
